Get real, Jennifer Aniston!

After reading an analytical article of why J-Ans is still single, I personally (as in, MY OPINION) have to disagree. The article (which you can read HERE), gives her all sorts of complimentary reasons why no man wants to commit to her.

I'm sure there are still those guys who pine over 90's-fabulous stars, but let's get real...after reading the "reasons" she is still single after 40, I came to the conclusion that none of them are really valid. The reason she's single is internal, not external.

I bring to your attention Jessica Simpson who is hardly ever single. We all know Jess is always in a relationship and she is LOADED, has HOT ex's, is WAY famous, isn't really who she played on TV, and she caught the "John Mayer"...the only difference is, she isn't insecure.

Jennifer Aniston is insecure. And I think everyone knows it...countless nose jobs, so much botox her face looks like it would melt under high temperatures, constantly talking about "hotness"? I used to admire her and think she was cute and funny...but not really anymore. I don't really know many guys who want to marry someone who will be more concerned about how her nose looks in pictures than living life. Or maybe Jenn doesn't want to be in a relationship (although I doubt that since she is always ranting about how she can't find real love despite her best efforts bla bla bla). It's sad people don't help her love herself instead of trying to suck up with all these bogus reasons about the world not being to handle her...please.

Instead of re-affirming the whole "guys can't handle your fame and fortune" BS, how about a reality-check for once?

Dear Leafs fans,

I do not appreciate some of your snobby attitudes regarding who gets to cheer for "your" team. First of all, they are not yours. Second of all, they need all the support they can get! If you haven't noticed they are kind of the object of derision in...every city but El Toro (had to throw that in; it's a joke, relax).

I have supported the Leafs through thick and thin (as have many of you) and I chose to take a break from their stressful antics - it was hard watching them consistently getting their arses handed to them by...everyone. I'm entitled to do so while still loving them.

That is not bandwagon jumping, friends. Band wagon jumping is when a person prior to the playoffs, did not support nor cheer for a team until that team showed promise to win the championship.

I cheered for the Leafs from beginning of season until Jan 1, 2011. That's way prior to the play-offs. Further, who are we kidding? Even IF the Leafs make it to the play-offs there is zero promise of them winning the championship. I am all about optimism and positive thought, but I doubt any of you would put money on a bet they'll win the Stanley Cup.

In conclusion, your snobbery is as unwarranted as The Maroon 5 Fan Club rejecting/kicking out members. Makes no sense. Think about it.

Gossip: more than a FINE dining experience.

Gossip restaurant is undoubtedly what one would call a hidden gem!
Found on the CNE grounds, across from Muzik, this restaurant boasts a mouth-watering array of options from their delicious signature Gossip Salad, to Tempura Shrimp (which comes with two very tasty dipping sauces) and Sirloin that is to die for.
Other items of note are the White Fish which melts in your mouth and the Carrot Soup.
I was very impressed with the courteous, friendly, and professional service at Gossip and this certainly swayed me to return multiple times.
The interior of the restaurant, the quality of the food, and the outstanding service may fool you into thinking you are a celebrity, and you might fear the pricing but surprisingly, the prices are quite reasonable!

I think I have definitely found a new go-to!

A singer's voice is like his/her trademark. I have a dozen favourite singers but only a few have voices that send chills down my spine. Corey Taylor is one of them.

The range in his voice is simply amazing - it can be grainy and angry or smooth and totally on key all the while conveying so many emotions I feel just by listening.

Through the Glass by Stone Sour is one track that showcases his voice beautifully.

As does this...if I ever get vocal training, I want it from him!

Father Time

Make time work for you...it's the one thing in life you will never get back.

"I'm too busy for that" or the more passive-aggressive "I don't have time to ..." are probably two of the least credible, and illegitimate phrases you hear uttered by man and womankind daily.

Why? Aren't a lot of people indeed very busy?

Yes.

But we all have the same 24 hours, how come some people are able to make them work effectively, and "have time" for all the "mundane" things others claim not to have time for?

People exist who lead all sorts of busy lives, who have demanding professions and/or families and/or lots of extracurricular commitments; yet they still seem to have time to answer an email/text/call, or read a newspaper ... or take a shower...or do their nails, etc...you get the point!

I don't have amazing time-management skills but even at my busiest point in life when I was holding down a very demanding job in Capital Markets and appearing on MTV simultaneously, I *STILL* had time for friends, and to eat, and to travel, because I wanted to make time...if you don't want to do certain things it's another matter, just know that no one believes the "no-time" excuse especially because there is something called "multi-tasking" most of us are aware of, so be more creative if you must be an excusinator.

Although his character was a certifiable psycho in the movie, he was onto something you have heard preached in hundreds of blogs, speeches, television programs, etc.

So if it's so simple why don't more people say "YES" to their positive thoughts instead of letting the negative ones pollute their head-space?

I would be lying if I said I have never had a negative thought or took negative actions in my life. I am not a completely 100% positive person and I doubt anyone truly is...but I do try to block out negativity, as I truly believe (as you should) that it is harmful, toxic, and dangerous not only to your well-being but to others' too.

Exposing yourself and others to negative words/actions releases stress and kills the brain's health which directly affects the health of a person's body. It's scientifically proven in a variety of studies, and it makes perfect sense and yet still...people refute the idea and choose to dwell in a wasteland of destructive thought.

I hope if you are one of them, you will stop. Now.

Lying, deceiving, backbiting, stealing, and hurting others are all negative behaviours spawned from the wrong kind of thinking.

If you feel inadequate or jealous of someone else, trying to hurt them or being negative towards them will definitely not help your state any further and will make you even more vile and destructive.

I have observed it ruining friendships, relationships, and making people literally crazy.

Some believe positive thinkers are unrealistic or dumb.

Well, I am a mostly positive thinker and I happen to be very in touch with reality and am certainly far from dumb. Not acknowledging or partaking in childish games, or jealous competitions does not make someone dumb, it makes them smart...for not wanting to live a life of hate and pettiness.

Like the Eagles sang: So often time it happens, we all live our life in chains, and we never even know we have the key.
