Tuff Stuff!

I was treated to a big laugh when I came across a tragic blog posting by a 'male' looking for some love!

The opening line was very clever - "I don't know what this is but I'm posting here to see if anyone else is lonely".

Then the good-stuff - 'I'm attractive, nice, a tax-payer, not a douche-bag, not in rehab' and further that 'girls always come up to me when I'm out and want to be togetha and stuff but like whateva I'd rather find a girl online' - N.B. cutting the "er" off "whatever" and adding an "a" emphasizes his possible encounters with gang-people and other tough, cool things.

But don't be fooled by his rough exterior, he gets deeper and a little more honest (but no-less hurting) admitting to being nerdy, socially awkward, and at times deviant.

He lets us know that he is looking for love and likes to be cuddled - a picture is valiantly included of the unbathed, topless skeleton who posted the ad (self-taken of course)...one might think it's the Cryptkeeper, or just a look-alike but this guy is not sticking around waiting for you to find out as he ends the ad in BOLD TYPE stating - "I am not checking email after 3 hours so if you don't email me I'll find something else to do regardless" - like post more ads, or research ways to build tough muscles without working out.

I hope he succeeds, juiced skeletons are the best - think Skeletor! Chicks dig him and he is a hit at Hallowe'en parties. Yes!

Welcome!

The year is 2008 - almost 10 years since blogging took off and became one of the most popular means of sharing stories, thoughts, and news pieces.
Yes, I am definitely behind the times on this one and I apologize to all you fine souls who have been with it 5 years before blogs even came to existence. You are the be all and end all of blogs. You knew about them before they became popular and sold out to the mainstream and became commercial whores. Like that darn Chris Cornell.
What is his deal anyway? How dare he be good at song-writing and release something that could be popular with not just the Crow-watching, music-pausal crowd? How dare he evolve and release an album he worked on with Timbaland? Wasn't Timbaland part of N SYNC?? That is the height of mainstream Pop and I just won't have it.
I am of course referring to Chris' new song "Scream" which is off of the album of the same name. The song was featured on One Tree Hill - a show known for having consistently incredible soundtracks. The inclusion of Chris Cornell's 'Scream' was a slick move on the part of OTH's music department - the song is appealing to the masses and most likely will begin to attract a whole new slew of fans to buy Cornell's music - much to the disdain of the former fans who have loudly made their opinions known about this new One Republic-eque sound. Gone are the dark lyrics and experimental guitar riffs. Gone is the shrill, signature raw Cornell SCREAM fans have become so fond of (which questions the integrity of the album title) - what the listener is left with is Timbaland infused beats and a slightly synthesized version of Chris' voice. On the up-side (which Chris has written about being "down on"), you can still tell it's Chris Cornell - to take a listen for yourself go to http://www.chriscornell.com/ - or hop on over to our pals at Youtube for a taste of the new sound.
Glad you stopped by...gotta run!
